Important Installation Information

For optimum performance:

• Install the probe in an area with constant high water flow

• Ideal locations include:

  • Between the skimmer and filter using the supplied flow chamber

  • Inside a skimmer chamber on retrofit installations

• Always monitor copper levels to ensure concentrations remain below 0.25 ppm

• Maintain KH levels between:

  • 100–250 ppm alkalinity

  • 5–14° KH

The included testing kits make setup quick and straightforward.

How the IonGen G2 Works

The IonGen G2 control panel sends a low-voltage electrical signal to the copper probe.

This creates a controlled release of positively charged copper ions into the flowing water, where they:

• Inhibit string algae growth

• Prevent blanket weed from spreading

• Help maintain clearer water

• Reduce the need for chemical algae treatments

Because the release is adjustable, you can increase output during peak algae season and reduce it once the pond is under control.
